In legal settings such as court interpreting, in conferences and in any other simultaneous interpreting assignment that goes on for more than an hour, interpreters work in pairs. Because simultaneous interpreting is demanding and intense, each interpreter usually works for approximately half an hour before being relieved by his or her partner.
Do you need a Translator or an Interpreter?
The terms Translator and Interpreter are commonly confused, but the distinction between them is quite simple. Translators work with written material and interpreters render verbal translation. Both are language specialist and must have college-level fluency and command of both, their source and target language. They must also be experts in the subject matter at hand.

Our President Claudia R. Samulowitz, is a State and Federally Certified Court Interpreter. She is an active member of many professional associations. She believes in serving her community and volunteers her time in favor of the national and regional professional associations she belongs to. She also promotes continuing education for practicing interpreters and translators, to ensure accurate translation for English speakers as well as for the Limited English Proficient recipients of Interpreting and Translation services.
